Come Work for the USTA/USOPEN. You can manage the day-to-day operations of the email analyst team and email request process to support the entire USTA Family’s marketing and transactional email efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of email analysts, and temporary/seasonal hires. Assign requests and manage and balance team workload.
  • Manage the relationship with email marketing vendors/partners, consultants and email requesters.
  • Create, manage and maintain the outgoing email marketing calendar. Schedule emails to provide optimal deliverability and avoid over-mailing overlapping audiences.
  • Monitor all outgoing campaigns for deliverability issues and escalate and work with vendor to resolve blocking and blacklisting issues that may arise. Continually enforce rules and best practices to optimize email deliverability, reduce list erosion and opt-outs and be CAN-SPAM compliant.
  • Monitor websites and landing pages for uptime using various tools (i.e. Uptime Robot) to ensure they are up to receiving traffic from email deployments.
  • Help define and gather business requirements for email marketing and data related projects, enhancements, and integrations. Review SOW and BRD documentation for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with consulting firms, IT, and Product team members on sprint planning and development for upcoming builds. Serve as a development and UAT resource for assigned issues and enhancements in Jira. Serve as point of contact for overnight go-lives of builds to troubleshoot any email related issues that may arise from smoke testing and launch.
  • Create, update and maintain transactional (triggered) email campaigns in support of Membership, Net Generation and Pro Tennis web properties, apps, and initiatives.
  • Manage monthly email list processing for revenue-generating Individual Membership Renewal series, as well as acquisition and upgrade campaigns.
  • Monitor, track and provide analysis and reporting of designated email campaigns devising strategic recommendations regarding how to improve levels of engagement and conversion.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years’ relevant experience using a leading Email Service Provider and/or Marketing Automation platform. Experience with Adobe Campaign Standard a strong plus.
  • Experience using a campaign management tool and working with complex data sets. Has an analytical, data-driven mindset.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills with strong multi-tasking and project management ability. Follows-up to meet deadlines and adapts to sudden changes in project scope and timing.
  • Strong grasp of email industry best practices, trends and legislature.
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS with the ability to troubleshoot coding and rendering issues. Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop experience strongly preferred.
