This is a full-time developmental position with a target grade of GS-12. Position training will be provided.

Responsible for directing, coordinating, and carrying out all work associated with database management. Position requires providing authoritative advice, assistance and information on all matters related to database management. Is directly responsible to resolve and finalize problems, issues, and questions associated with the database by coordinating with project delivery teams, hardware/software vendors and other technical resources for the appropriate resolution. Determines requirements for input from other organizational elements, and maintains liaison with all affected organizations to inform them of any changes.

Professional knowledge and skill in applying advanced theories, concepts, and principles practiced in the science of computer engineering or computer science, including knowledge of computer hardware; systems software; computer system integration; and advanced mathematics sufficient to carry out complete database management.

Incumbent is responsible for directing, coordinating, and carrying out all work associated with Building Information Models (BIM) as well as coordinating continued development of Computer Aided Design (CAD) capability of the District. Position requires providing authoritative advice, assistance and information on all matters related to BIM and CAD. Work typically requires intensive coordination of project work requirements with other technical and administrative elements of the District. Current and historical data requires design of a manageable database structure and user interface to streamline data access, address storage issues and be able to incorporate future demands.
