TURNER, a full-service public relations and digital communications agency specializing in travel, outdoor, wellness, and spirits brands, is seeking an Account Coordinator with a passion for the industries we serve. While we are currently working remote, we anticipate returning to our offices in Q3 and as such, the role can be based out of New York, Denver or Chicago.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, track, and report coverage for an assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Prepare meeting agendas, notes and reports
  • Support account organization, including managing project software to ensure the team has clear assignments and deadlines logged
  • Assist with brainstorming strategic and impactful angles, initiatives and activities
  • Assist with multicultural campaign support
  • Write client-ready collateral, which includes but is not limited to: news releases, media alerts, photo captions, media/influencer pitches, media briefs/bios and fact sheets
  • Assist with developing targeted media lists
  • Research and evaluate influencers
  • Assist with media pitching
  • Assist with research assignments
  • Co-plan client media tours and local market visits as needed
  • Support booking travel for media FAMS
  • Other tasks to support the PR team as needed

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an epic attention to detail
  • A voracious appetite for reading: magazine, newspapers, blogs – you scan them all, with attention to trends and how outlets are structuring their content
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
  • The ability to anticipate team and client needs and proactively assist
  • Solid project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple accounts
  • Prior experience through an internship or similar work experience
  • Proficiency in AP Style
  • Familiarity with Cision, BurrellesLuce, TrendKite and cloud-based tools
  • A proven understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • BA or BS in public relations, journalism, communications or any field with a strong emphasis on writing and communication
  • Internship experience within a communications agency is a bonus
