What You’ll Be Doing
This professional level position is located in the Department in Utilities and works under the general supervision of the Director of Utilities to perform a variety of complex technical work in the preparation, review and presentation of the departments operating and capital improvements budget and management studies, user rate studies, and billing program. This position is responsible for assisting in the planning, direction, and oversight of operations and staff involved in the department’s billing services, revenue protection, quality assurance, issue resolution, field service, and other customer-related functions for the Town’s water and sanitary sewer utility. Responsibilities include performing professional level analysis of the department’s budget, expenses, revenue rates, and service. The position is also responsible for assisting the Director in presenting data in support of utility rate changes, service modification and other related issues. Manages complex and multi-disciplinary activities including special projects across divisions. Work assignments are broad in scope and require the use of independent judgment, problem solving, and initiative in making difficult technical decisions. Performs a variety of other administrative tasks.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management Information Systems, Public Administration, or related field.
Experience: Significant progressively responsible experience in local government operations or related field; ability to independently exercise good professional judgment; excellent verbal, written, and public communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups and organization levels; project management skills including ability to multitask, prioritize, set and meet deadline, work independently and perform tasks with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
