Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Follows standard operating procedures and ensures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met. Recognizes safety hazards and complies with all safety practices and protocols. Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel and collaborates with other departments across the enterprise. Collects and processes lab specimens and performs clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methods, in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures. May collect and manage samples of blood and other fluids from patients as needed. Demonstrate skill in use of equipment relevant to position. Demonstrates critical and independent judgement in decision-making and problem-solving.
