Senior Scientist- Cancer immunology

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a PhD in immunology, cell biology or other related fields to join our research team. The ideal candidate will enjoy having broad responsibilities and is skilled at working on multiple projects concurrently. The Senior Scientist will report directly to the Associate Director and will carry out tasks related to contract work to be conducted for clients, as well as internal research & development efforts with a heavy emphasis on running flow cytometry, confocal imaging and single cell RNA sequencing.

The main responsibilities of the position are to:

•Perform multi-color flow cytometry experiments.

•Conduct confocal microscopy imaging studies and performs quantitative analysis of target and non-target biomarkers.

•Tissue processing for 3-D staining and imaging.

•IHC and immunofluorescence staining with effective troubleshooting.

•Molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extractions & quantification).

•Design and carry out small independent projects and join in team efforts for larger scale experiments.

•Evaluate research tools and emerging technologies.

•Working with external vendors and clients.

•Maintain detailed lab notebook and preparation of technical reports to clearly communicate research findings.

•Prepare reports, publications and oral presentations.

•Performs all work safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations, SOPs, company policies, safety training and procedures.

•Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.

Requirements:

•Experience in cancer biology or related field, areas of research interest include but are not limited to: immuno-oncology; tumor metabolism; cancer signaling; and tumor microenvironment.

•Experienced in multi-color flow cytometry.

•Ph.D. with two years of experience working for a biotech/pharmaceutical company or in academia is required.
