Examples of Work
Examples of work include: Delivers professional nursing care and treatments within the scope of licensure. Provides clinical direction and guidance to other nursing and direct care staff. Manages urgent situations which may require seclusion or restraint interventions and/or other management strategies. This position requires intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting and supporting patients.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska.
OTHER: Must be at least 19 years of age and able to attend all three weeks of new employee orientation during day hours. Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 60 lbs. Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be able to work a shift assignment which may include overtime, weekends and holidays. Knowledge of nursing theory and practice; accepting standards of care; policies and procedures governing nurse care; knowledge of psychiatric disorders; policies and procedures and techniques of providing quality nursing care. Must be dependable and work positively in a team setting.
