Private Client Coordinator (Admin/Paralegal Hybrid role)

The Private Client Coordinator will be responsible for performing a variety of functions relating to estate planning, estate administration, real estate and corporate transactions. This position will report to the Private Client Section Manager and Private Client Attorneys.

Responsibilities:

Draft, edit and review estate planning documents including wills, trusts, living wills, health care proxies, and durable powers of attorney.

Complete probate forms and file them with the probate court.

Conduct legal and tax research.

Draft deeds and record real estate transactions with the registry of deeds.

Prepare gift and estate tax returns.

Prepare documents for execution and obtain client signatures, as well as participate in client signing meetings.

Correspond regularly with outside constituencies and probate court.

Assist in trust administration.

Maintain files and records.

Assume additional responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to execute through to completion.

Creative problem solving skills, reasoning ability, and logical thought process.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and meet various deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Outstanding sense of customer service.

Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive attitude.

Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.

Must be self-motivated to produce quality work.

High level of integrity and honesty.

Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to quickly get up to speed and master new applications and software is critical.

Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.

Minimum two-year commitment required.
