Job Summary:
The Senior Training Specialist will support and be a key leader in the operationalization of a robust learning strategy for employees at Gonzaga University. The role conducts focused educational/training needs assessments for adult learners, designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates a range of responsive and relevant educational offerings and training programs. The Senior Training Specialist will collaborate and partner with diverse employees at every level of the University to understand, design, and deliver the most appropriate learning for an intact group or full employee community members. The Senior Training Specialist will administer the training and professional development opportunities offered by Human Resources, which includes analyzing data from multiple sources, evaluating and preparing reports for senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors and over 5 years of experience or a Master’s and over 3 years of experience in a related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Training and facilitation skills.
Ability to determine training objectives. Organizing and coordinating skills.
Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology.
Skill in preparing instructional aids and plans.
Desired Qualifications:
Implementation and facilitation of technical, operational, and/or specialty training events and programs in an institution of higher education
Consultation and collaboration with individuals and departments on complex training issues for adult learners/employees in higher education.
Assessment of training needs and objectives, and designing and developing responsive programs and initiatives in a higher education setting.
Design and development of comprehensive training plans, curriculum, and aids
