Represents the Turnpike Office of Information Technology Office (TP-OIT) and the Turnpike District Information Systems Manager in the management of technology solutions and services at Turnpike Boca, West Palm Beach, and Fort Pierce regions, and remote office locations through the following activities: oversees desktop support to include the installation, support, and maintenance of desktop technology equipment. This includes configuration of the systems, loading of software, planning & maintaining records of all new installations resident on the Turnpike Enterprise networks and systems; Coordinates all activities involving responding, addressing, resolving, and escalation of reported technology service or usability issues; Provides system access and specialized security to the Turnpike Enterprise personnel as authorized; Provides data entry and mainframe printing services; Grants, terminates, and denies e-mail accounts based on the Department’s policies and procedures for use of electronic mainframe; Performs periodic site audits and visits of technology resources using Turnpike audit form as scheduled by the District Information Systems Manager.
Provides direction to assigned field staff to ensure our tier one and two levels of service are providing timely and high-quality technology solutions to our customers.
Advises and works closely with the District Information Systems Manager on the coordination of information Technology activities, projects and initiatives. Ensures contractor and consultant TP-OIT team members an opportunity to participate on task teams, provides input and represents TP-OIT’s interest and concerns. Interprets policies, procedures and rules as needed, providing comments and/or communicating changes to Turnpike’s managers and users.
Reviews requests for Access to Turnpike Information Technology resources; advises personnel of solutions, changes, and implements necessary controls to ensure the Turnpike Enterprise is in compliance with the utilization of the Departmental standard tools as governed by Information Technology Policy and Procedures.
Reviews requests for Turnpike Information Technology resources. Advises Turnpike team members of solutions, changes, and implements necessary controls to ensure the Turnpike is in compliance with the acquisition process for Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and other local TP-OIT procedures.
Develops a quarterly technology assessment report that the identifies TP-OIT response time intervals, operational availability and service resource priorities; confers with, defines and assists office supervisors in the implementation of established plans to ensure timely processing and completion of responsibilities. The report should include but is not limited to identifying TP-OIT’s ability to adhere to FDOT approved Service Level Agreements.
Oversees all technology budget matters related to Turnpike Enterprise’s Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Fort Pierce regions, and remote office locations for integration into the Information Technology Office budget. This includes preparation of budget issues, purchasing activities, monitoring funds and payments.
