Job Title: Portico Software Engineering Program Analyst
Job Purpose
Fiserv’s Technology Analyst Program – Application Development is an early career development program where candidates experience two one-year assignments in Application Development. Each assignment builds upon the other and together will provide a breadth of experience in the business world and unique to you! We are looking for university graduates with drive, passion, and an evolving target for their careers. The best and brightest will be the firm’s future support system, a pipeline of top talent for positions in vital technology areas across the firm. Training curriculum, mentoring, on the job learning, and exposure to senior leadership will be offered in these entry-level opportunities to advance within our company upon completing the two-year program. Fiserv Analyst rotations will have two start dates; January 19, 2021 and June 21, 2021.
As a part of the Technology Analyst Program – Application Development, you will have the opportunity to code, programming, test, and analyze application software. Support existing business systems applications. May consult with business analysts to identify business needs and appropriate technical solutions—design and document moderately sophisticated technical requirements for business applications. Assist a team in design and develop computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on user-defined conditions. Writes code, programs, tests, and analyzes new application software.
Summary of Department:
The Portico Software Engineering Team is responsible for the design, develop, and deploy software for the Portico Account Processing core platform that supports 370 credit unions.
Job Duties:
The analyst will assist the Software Engineering team dedicated to the Portico core product by updating environment and/or process documentation and configuration tools to assist in new SE onboarding, performing coding assignments with supervision. These activities may include research, design, small coding assignments and participation in team meetings.
- Build an understanding of existing application installation process
- Under the direction of a lead software engineer or a technical development manager:
- Implement, test and review: updated product documentation, updated coding assignments, “capstone” assignment designed to provide an internal or external product efficiency
- Performs other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
Working toward a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, BCIS, or equivalent.
The candidate will have completed some coursework in the following CS or CI areas:
- Computer programming
- Quality Assurance Testing
- Software Engineering
- Systems Architecture
- Software Design
- Business writing or public speaking
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) – Technical Writing – UX design – CyberSecurity
Additional skills that will be helpful:
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server, AzureDevOps and/or JIRA or Confluence
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- SQL Server
