DisputeSoft provides expert consulting services to law firms engaged in cutting-edge, high-profile software disputes. Working at DisputeSoft will require you to work alongside senior consultants, expert witnesses, and attorneys from the nation’s top law firms, who work on behalf of Fortune 100 companies and government clients in a variety of high-stakes contract, fraud, and intellectual property disputes.

The IT Analyst is a technological investigator whose work requires him/her to uncover factual information and provide analysis about the significance of that information to DisputeSoft’s clients. Such investigatory work changes based on the unique circumstances of each dispute on which DisputeSoft consults: one day you might write scripts in Python or Perl to determine whether a disputed software system takes advantage of modern programming paradigms; the next you might use an internal application to compare the similarity of two applications at issue in a copyright case; the next you might analyze a forensic image of a hard drive.

The IT Analyst must have not only the technical skills needed to perform these tasks but also the ability to apply those skills to form opinions about complex technical situations. DisputeSoft’s primary clients are attorneys, and the IT Analyst is expected to communicate his/her methodology and findings effectively to a lay audience, both verbally and in writing.

Competitive candidates for the position will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field of study
  • Academic or professional experience with object-oriented programming
  • Academic or professional experience with at least one scripting language such as Python, Ruby, PHP, or Perl
  • Academic or professional experience with relational databases, including SQL
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges

DisputeSoft offers competitive compensation based on a candidate’s skill and experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan and profit sharing program. The firm also provides free lunch on Fridays and keeps its cupboards stocked with snacks, soft drinks, coffee, and frozen meals for employees.

Our employees also enjoy a relaxed and inclusive office culture that allows for flexible hours and provides opportunities for lifelong learning. Few workplaces can offer the chance to be exposed to so many parts of the software development industry – whether you are interested in programming, computer architecture, project management, or intellectual property law, you’ll have the chance to learn more about it at DisputeSoft.

To apply, please submit a cover letter, a resume, and a copy of your unofficial transcript. Please note that some travel may be required for this position.

All qualified applicants will be afforded equal employment opportunities without discrimination because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability or marital status.
