Evaluate engineering & manufacturing processes based on product knowledge and industry expertise to locate areas of improvement for Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Safety, etc. deemed appropriate. Create new processes in engineering dept. to streamline line communications with customers & minimize time creating drawing packets for customers and manufacturing processes utilizing Microsoft office, solid works, auto-cad, Meta-Cam, and Alpha-Cam. Work with engineering dept. to redesign products that are deemed inefficient utilizing solid works, auto-cad, meta-cam, and alpha-cam. Evaluate supply chain management & implement improvements/changes deemed necessary. Lead the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System to create processes & procedures for the inventory control management, and labor time tracking. Support the Quality Assurance Department when needed to create Production Part Approval Process (PAPPs) to help implementation of quality assurance improvements to maintain ISO certification. Work with the Safety Department to eliminate safety hazards in all areas of manufacturing and improve experience Modification Rate (MOD). Modify layout of manufacturing area to improve efficiency & minimize wasted movement utilizing SAGE-100. Assist in any potential new warehouse layout plans. Experience with Elevator Products and Sub-Systems. Knowledge of OEM industry standards, such as ANSI A17.1 Elevator Code and the Geometric Tolerance ASME Y14.5-2009. The Senior Manufacturing Industrial Engineer position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant and/or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of experience related to the position due to the complexities of the manufacturing processes, as well as the high degree of autonomy required to perform the job duties on a daily basis.
