The Housing & Community Development Manager is a critical leadership position with responsibility and authority to carry out the progressive housing agenda established by Tampa’s Mayor Jane Castor. We are looking for an individual to provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction to the division and to guide a talented team to achieve new goals and objectives for housing and program initiatives citywide. We are looking to build on the success of this department to date and bring new ideas and fresh perspective to align our growing resources with the needs of our community.
As a member of the Development & Growth Management leadership team, the Manager will help to set direction and provide the framework to achieve the department’s goals. The Manager will also lead efforts to implement the Mayor’s Housing Affordability Advisory report recommendations and the evaluation and adoption, as appropriate, of the 2020 ULI Advisory Report recommendations (both are available upon request).
