Under the close supervision of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisor), the incumbents will perform professional scientific analyses and fieldwork associated with appropriate use of pesticides; independently apply scientific methods and principles to identify, research, analyze, and develop science-based solutions for compliance with complex regulatory pesticide issues; provide oversight of enforcement activities to maintain statewide uniformity; generate, analyze and evaluate scientific data for regulatory compliance with human health and environmental requirements to ensure protection of human health, non-target organisms, food safety, surface/ground water, wildlife, and air quality.
