The Ashley Furniture Corporate Team is seeking a talented and solution-oriented Documentation Specialist to join our growing division! In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of export documentation auditing, preparation, and retention processes including ensuring that documentation is retained within company’s electronic storage system for our international customs entry and vendor payment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess a customer centric personality with the ability to work in a collaborative and team focused environment!

Your ideal qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of Office Support, Clerical or Administrative work, Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, good judgment, and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Desires a fast-paced dynamic work environment.

What Will You Do?

  • Create, obtain, and maintain all export documents required to ship internationally.
  • Audit and approve documents generated by third party entities and ensure that all documentation meets export regulations.
  • Provide required documentation to customers, freight forwarders, brokers, and/or drivers in accordance with determined deadlines.
  • Retain international documentation in accordance with U.S. Customs requirements and company established procedures.
  • Analyze late documentation related credit requests from customers and provide relevant information and recommendation to manager to approve or deny request.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication, coordination and working relations with international suppliers, vendors, internal teams, and customers.
