We are looking for a full stack developer to join our team building web/cloud-based systems and applications.
This role will be embedded on the MINES team within our Applications, Web-services, and E-Learning group. The MINES team is developing a suite of software tools–ranging from web applications to back-end systems–that support America’s military wargaming and training missions.
We are looking for a strong developer that is inspired to build solutions that support our nation’s military.
Together we are creating tools and products that are integral to how our military trains and protects.
Due to the work you’ll perform and interactions with intelligence community and DoD programs you must be a US citizen will need to be eligible to apply for and hold a US security clearance (selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements at the time of employment).
Remote work is available for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and recommend solutions to guide team decision making
- Write, test, review and maintain code across the stack for the MINES system
- Document the systems you help build, monitor, and maintain
- Improve the scalability and performance of our platform
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5-7 years of experience OR 11-13 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable in a modern software engineering environment with an agile software process, distributed source code control, and a CI/CD pipeline
- Excited about delivering quality and familiar with unit and acceptance testing frameworks
- Experience with current HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related toolchains
- Experience writing applications with strongly typed languages (Java / C# / etc…)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret or higher DoD security clearance
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience evaluating technologies and designing solutions
- Experience with software containerization (e.g. Docker)
- Experience with cluster schedulers for containers (e.g. Kubernetes)
- Experience with GraphQL
