RESPONSIBILITIES:
Network Administrator I:
- Monitor, maintain and aid in the resolution of problems related to network security.
- Support end-users, department staff, and business applications using network security systems.
- Follow established guidelines for change control and compliance requirements.
- Under supervision plan, install, configure, test, and document additions and upgrades to network security infrastructure.
- Maintain technical knowledge in IT security through professional reading and training.
- Research and evaluate new technologies as directed.
Network Administrator II:
- Provide technical support and administration of network security infrastructure elements in an enterprise environment.
- Participates or leads in the design, acquisition, installation, documentation, troubleshooting, and monitoring of required network security systems.
- Assures efficient operation of network security systems through monitoring and capacity planning.
- Plans and recommends new technologies for the company.
- Manages network security projects, including budgeting and tasks.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Network Administrator I:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field. No experience required with the bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates completing their degree by June 2021 will be considered.
Or
- AA or AAS degree in Network or Systems administration or related degree, PLUS four years of related job experience in the implementation, operation, and management of network security infrastructure or related systems.
Network Administrator II:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, PLUS four years of related job experience in the implementation, operation, and management of network security infrastructure or related systems.
Or
- AA or AAS degree in Network or Systems administration or related degree, PLUS eight years of related job experience in the implementation, operation, and management of network security infrastructure or related systems.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Check Point firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and URL Filtering is preferred.
- Experience with Cisco network security tools such as ISE, Meraki, and Duo is preferred.
- Professional certifications in cyber security, such as the GIAC, CISSP or CISA is a plus.
- Knowledge of cyber security compliance regimes such as NERC CIP, Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPPA, or PCI is a plus.
- Experience implementing cyber security control processes or systems is a plus.
- Project management experience is a plus.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Under normal operating conditions, this position will be reporting to the Rowe Energy Control Center in Duluth, MN. In accordance with the Company’s current work-from-home policy, the position may start as a remote, work-from-home opportunity. The duration of any remote work option is subject to the business need and evolving guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some training may need to occur in the office, with safety protocol and social distancing.
