U92 the Moose, WVU’s college radio station, is looking for board operators and production assistants for Summer 2024. You’ll play an important role in ensuring broadcasts such as sporting events, talk shows, news programs, podcasts, and other as-needed programs are successfully aired by coordinating remote or pre-recorded audio in our studio. This paid position reports directly to the Operations Director.
Duties include:
- Control and manage the broadcasting board during live events, sporting events, talk shows, news programs, and other as-needed programs.
- Ensure seamless transitions between different segments, audio sources, and commercials.
- Collaborate with the station’s librarian to organize and catalog music, digitize music, and help ensure a well-maintained and easily accessible music library.
- Conduct regular inventory checks of U92 equipment.
- Collaborate with the Operations Director to report any equipment malfunctions and conduct regular inventory checks of U92 equipment.
Qualifications:
- Technical proficiency in operating broadcasting equipment is desirable but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- All paid staff of U92 are required to have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Applicant must be a full-time, fees-paying student at WVU
