The Student Support Instructional Specialist will assist in the identification of students in need of mental health services provided by internal and/or external mental health professionals. This will also include offering a continuum of supports that include prevention, intervention, and intensive strategies that meet the needs of individual students where a student may otherwise be at-risk or in crisis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• An earned bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in the mental health field.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with youth.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, community agency partners, and families.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Computer skills as required for the position.
